KhAI expression of interest for MG-2-1-2018 – Subtopic B

by Anna | Dec 14, 2017

ORGANISATION

Name of the Organisation: National Aerospace University "KhAI"

Organisation Short Name: KhAI

Organisation Type: HES

Country: Ukraine

ACTIVITY

Topic(s) of interest from 2018-2019 Transport Work Programme:

Fields of Activity: Being experienced in the integral and functional diagnostics of objects of animate and inanimate nature, we develop an interdisciplinary structural and functional approach for studying the individuality of their functioning. Within the framework of the approach, a toolkit has been developed (dynamic and statistical methods, algorithms, programs, indicators and criteria). It allows analyzing the results of a comprehensive study of dynamic systems under difficult conditions In addition, the uniqueness of our toolkit and the possibility of its unification allows: • explore the consistency of human-machine and machine-machine interaction; • identify the characteristic features that are associated with technological heredity. • identify individual characteristics of a person and machine and analyze their compatibility.

Skills and Experise Offered: In relevance to the MG-2-1-2018 requirement to the increased knowledge of the interaction of humans and machines for the further distribution of automation without the introduction of new, previously unknown, security risks, we have experience in various types of physical, biophysical and technological research. Within the framework of a potential project, the KhAI team can adapt a unified toolkit, as well as patented diagnostic tools (21 patents), for:
• a comprehensive study of the results of human-machine interaction;
• analysis of the consistency and compatibility of machine-machine interaction;
• Physical, mathematical and cybernetic modeling of functioning;
• Identification of specific features associated with technological heredity.

Keywords: human-machine interaction, functional diagnostics of objects, risk factors identification

Previous FP Projects Participated: KhAI has experience in participating and coordinating of EU-funded projects (in total 4 H2020 projects, 5 FP7 projects, 2 FP6 projects). In line with the competencies described above, KhAI staff participated in numerous projects funded by State Fund for Fundamental Research of Ukraine and Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU).
