TITLE
Standardization in Horizon 2020 projects -Selected IPR issues in Horizon 2020”, 23 January 2019 , Lisbon, 9 am – 13 pm
ETNA 2020 is organizing jointly with NCP Academy a custom-made training to the transport sector dedicated to standardization and IPR issues in H2020 projects, on January 23, 09:00 – 13:00, Lisbon.
Background and Speakers
Economic implementation and market acceptance of project results are now essential aspects of many Horizon 2020 projects. Standards and standardization can make a significant contribution to project success, especially as regards to quality requirements, safety, compatibility and interoperability of innovative products and systems.
Therefore, it is important to consider standardization from the conception of a Horizon 2020 project to project completion and, particularly, the exploitation of project results.
Given that standardisation is one option for exploitation of projects result the second part of the training will be dedicated to IPR issues.
IPR plays a key role from the project idea to the project proposal phase and project implementation. The IPR session of this training summarises the basics of IPR in order to have a common understanding of the definitions and relevance of IPR issues in Horizon 2020. Then, the speaker will go into selected topics such as exploitation and protection of project results, IP relate clauses in the Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement and other IP regulations.
Important: As the training is limited to 4 hours it will deliver basics and can only go into detail or a limited number of selected issues. The training will include some interactive parts.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
o Better understanding of the relevance of standardization in Horizon 2020 and how it should be used in projects and proposals
o Acquire more systematic knowledge on IPR basics throughout a project’s life cycle, including exploitation issues in Horizon 2020
o Overview and clear understanding of IP related clauses in the Consortium agreement and Grant Agreement
o Answers to all standardisation and IPR questions they always wanted to ask.
