Fields of Activity: Western Norway Research Institute (Vestlandsforsking) is a non-profit research institute contributing to innovation and development of policy in areas of sustainable growth and innovative technologies with close relation to public and private sector in the Sogn and Fjordane region. The institute has been active in national and international projects over 25 years with special focus on EU projects. Implementation of such projects have also led to regeneration of the region, economic growth and creation of jobs in IT sector, tourism and agriculture.
Skills and Experise Offered: Ensuring enhanced capability to quantify the potential reduction of greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions due to the new mobility systems and electrification. This will be done by conducting full scale quantitative Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) covering energy consumption, CO2 emissions, local air pollutants and other urban mobility environmental issues.
